Inspiration: Christopher Anderson

How powerful can a picture be? I mean, it's just a shot. Us human see in super full HD 5D permanent video, so how could a picture compare to this...

Canadian & Magnum photographer Christopher Anderson 's work is the kind of wickedly powerful stuff that makes me want to shoot.

Makes you feel, ideas start coming to your head, discomfort, misery, energy, conflict...yeah powerful is the right word. You've got to check his entire portfolio, for real. If you read my previous post, that guy is probably in essence the exact opposite to what I described. He is on the side of the good stuff.

PS: oh look, it's all film and medium format...just saying

Inspiration: Alec Soth

Still going thru Magnum photographers this week with the work of Alec Soth. He happens to be from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Goooo Goooophers !...Sorry.

More about him here.

Now what's important, a selection of pictures. It was hard to pick, check his website, the ways it's presented is really good.

PS: Oh and, I'm sorry but I have to mention that. For those of you who keep thinking "OMG he must have a Canon 5D his picture are so good". Well as I said before, like most photographer who actually care about the image, he shoot a Mamiya (medium format film) and a Philips 8X10 (large format film). But camera brands praise the Gods, pixel nerd will always be there to ensure sales are up.
